February 20, 2012
The newest dining option in Cooper-Young plans to open doors to the public Monday February 27, 2012. Mulan will offer Szechuan-style entrees identical to those served at the Collierville location, along with a sushi bar.
"We were one of the top 100 Chinese restaurants in 2011," says manager Matt Kan "That's what we are bringing to Cooper-Young."
Kan said that he likes the area, and though not a current resident, would like to be. The restaurant is named after the Chinese heroine Mulan.
"We love her story," says Kan. "She became a hero and general, and came back with honor."
The restaurant will occupy the former location of the Blue Fish Restaurant and Oyster Bar. More on food in the February edition of The LampLighter
