Local Biz Provides Free Computer Repair for Unemployed

A local small business provides free computer repair services for unemployed Memphians.
Amy Pickle is the business owner and sole employee at Pickle I.T. , a small business that performs information Technology Services. Pickle runs the business out of her Midtown home.
“I’m hoping to move to Cooper-Young soon,” Pickle said.
Before that move to C-Y Pickle has been performing a valuable service to her present community. She provides free computer repair services in unemployed clients, in order to help them in the job search.
“I couldn’t imagine trying to find a job with a computer now,” Pickle stated.
She’s already had three clients come to her in the program, some of which come back again for her help.
Katie Parker came to Pickle in February for a computer repair. She recently graduated from Delta Tech and wasn’t able to send out the number of resumes she wanted due to her broken computer.
“I love her,” Parker exclaimed, “She’s really good at what she’s done.”
Parker recalls the number of times she had to visit the Central Library in order to send out resumes, but taking her 3-year-old son made things difficult.
Now, with a functional computer in her home she’s able to send out a lot more resumes.
Parker recommends Pickle for anyone that needs her.
“She’s trustworthy, dependable, everything about her is cool,” Parker stated.
She recommended the services to her sister, who plans on going to Pickle I.T. for repairs in the future.
“I want to bring her business for helping me out,” Parker concluded.
