The Cooper-Young Festival Weekend is the most important weekend of the year for the neighborhood. Tens of thousands of people visited the area during the three-day festival period. The events also serve as the Cooper-Young Community Association and Cooper-Young Business Associations major fundraisers.

More than 40 junior and senior level student-reporters from the University of Memphis Department of Journalism covered this year's event. Slideshows, videos, stories - there are countless ways to hear and see all the things happening at the 2011 Cooper-Young Fest Weekend. Students sent up pictures and information via Twitter and Facebook starting Thursday with the Art Invitational, then on Friday for the 4-Miler, and through Saturday, the day of the Cooper-Young Fest.
