Underground Art marks 20 years with party
By Carrie Sanders/MicroMemphis reporter
Cooper Young's award winning tattoo shop, Underground Art, celebrated its 20th Anniversary party at the Hi-Tone on Feb. 2.
The crowd was entertained by local bands and a comedy performance.
Activities included an art auction from local artists and Underground employees, as well as a book swap.
Party goers could even take part in creating something of their own with Art in Action.
People who wanted the ink without the needle could get a henna tattoo applied.
All proceeds from the anniversary party benefitted the Memphis Literacy Mid-South.
