The Cooper Young Food and Drink beat decided to take a different route with their topic. "What's in a Cooper-Young Cookbook" is where Twitter followers, residents, and etc, request certain recipes of their favorite dishes.
With feedback, we visited restaurants such as, Tsunami, Cortona, Cafe Ole, Celtic Crossing, and Skunx Chef Pub. We received feedback from a few of these.
Duncan Aiken, chef and manager, of Skunx Chef Pub, was thrilled when we came to him about a recipe that was requested by one of our Micro Memphis twitter followers.
"Sure, no problem" said Duncan. "I'd be more than happy to."
The Stone Hero recipe was requested by a Twitter follower, after being asked, what's your favorite dish in Cooper Young?"
Formally known as Lou's Pizza Pie, Skunx Chef Pub is located on Young Avenue.
Aiken was so willing, and understandable we preceded to follow up with him about an actual video on how to make the Stone Hero.
"It's very simple to make, so I have no problem with showing how to. Just take down my number, and we can set up a date."
With this being a success, we will continue to add to the Cooper-Young Cook Book.
