By Raph Small/ MicroMemphis reporter The Cooper Young neighborhood is nestled in the heart of Midtown Memphis. It’s definitely a stomping ground for those who enjoy eclectic corner shops, a great afternoon lunch, or an after work drink. For others, it's home and that’s definitely where the heart is. As a Micro Memphis reporter and a Midtown resident I’ve spent countless hours walking around CY to see what exactly attracts people to living here. According to InCity Realtor, Joe Spake, one of the reasons is its unique reputation, “It’s known as the hippest neighborhood in Memphis.” Spake also believes the area's architecture is a huge selling point. “It's eclectic architecture ranging from the Queen Ann Style of the late 19th Century, to bungalows from the first quarter of the 20th Century, to modern homes less than 10 years old.” |
Spake notes that from a real estate standpoint, the Cooper-Young neighborhood has some of the most stable property values in the city. Here's a look at some of the C-Y homes on the market.
